Wind Noise,,,,,,,

Post by Fritz »

I'm sorry I haven't replied to your request sooner,,,,,,,,as this type of job was the sort of thing I was often used to sorting at a franchise dealers in our local town.

First thing to do is check the door fits properly in it's hole,,,,,,does it look like it is sitting flush with the contours of the van ?

You say you have to slam it to close it, which may be due to having been strained in to past,,,,as if it has been blown open by a gust of wind and hence strained the hinge panel,,,,,,,,?

Simplest thing to do is close the door and then check to gap all round the door, if it is even you are half way to sorting your problem. If the door gap is greater at the rear ,than it is at the front then it may well have been strianed at some point...

If the mounting bolts don't look like they have been touched recently, then simply undo the top door mounting bolts to adjust the amount of in and out adjustment you have to play with the front edge of the door,,,,,,,,and the bottom mounting will give you a fair amount of height adjustment of the rear edge of the door.

You may have to use a combination of the two to get it in the right position.

Take it easy
