Even if the spare is the same size and the same make and model, the difference in rolling radius will increase as the tyres in use wear. So, the spare should be included in the rotation, but how can you achieve even wear over all tyres?? Two spares? Even then you'd have to do some pretty regular wheel juggling, and you'd be faced with buying new tyres 6 at a time! It could be almost as expensive as replacing the VC....
I find it hard to accept that VW built a vehicle with such a serious lack of tolerance!
Opinions of any experienced Syncronauts welcome as I'm currently without a spare and the 205/70X15 Yokos are wearing down imperceptibly with every journey
