Hi all

Electric bloody windows!

Been messing around with my non-working front windows (& rear wiper).

Connected up a spare battery straight to door switches.

Passenger window goes down & up really slowly..labouring.

Driver's doesn't move at all.

Anyone know where to get new/good motors, how much?

Failing that anyone converted back to a winder, big job?

but then you have to wind it really smoothly without moving your shoulder and make a bzzzzzz noise

strip everything down and get everything
de-gunked and properly cleaned out then
give 'em a try, should improve 'em.

Thought there wouldn't be an easy answer.

Is it common for everything to be ok but just too gunked to work?

Is it a straight forward job to strip out?

Would you open up the winding/cable drum?
