Indicator not working/ side light flashing instead

Post by Jones »

This morning the offside indicator decided not to work :? took off the lens and the rubber boot has split open so the bulb holder terminals are almost rusted to nothing

I've ordered new bulb holders for both sides as no doubt the other side is the same :? I'm hoping thats all the problem is  but as the side light is flashing instead of the indicator I suspect your all going to tell me this is a bad earth somewhere :?

So while I'm waiting for new bulb holders to arrive where and what should I be looking at just in case its not just the rusty terminals :?:

Cheers

it is bad earth, but i suspect when you replace the bulb holders it will be resolved, its returning thro because of the bad connection in the bulb holders...

Changed the bulb holder today and it didn't solve it unfortunately :( weird thing is if I run a seperate earth to it the sidelight stops flashing :) but although the indicator flashes it flashes quickly along with the back one

Any ideas anyone :?: its M.O.T time soon
