Hi Woodster,

i lost reverse on my Syncro a couple of months ago.

Nick at Bristol transmissions collected my van on his vehicle transporter; took out the gearbox and stripped it; identified the bits i needed which i had to beg/borrow around for, reassembled, refitted and delivered the van back to me.

Cost will be something you will have to talk with them and much depends on what they find in the gearbox.

Long established firm, nick is one of the owners and he certainly seemed to knows his onions.

Alternative is to see if Syncrospares or the Syncronutz boyz have a replacement box they can sell you and just swap them out. You will need to know what code is on your gearbox though.

Good Luck

Mark

Olly says have you finished your house yet

 ask him if theres something i should know ??

Nicks probably had half a dozen calls from Syncro owners since he did mine so maybe he is getting a little cool on them !

Gloucester Road gearboxes is another local repairer with past syncro experience if you need back up...

Your problems might start when the box is opened up and you have to track down specific parts but heres hoping !

Ah :) quick delete there, anyone got some better reading specs :?:

If they can't help you out in Bristol, SyncrosparesUK would have a replacement gearbox or there's a workshop in Henley that would repair yours
