This may have been asked a million times before but What the blithering heck,....I really do need to get some better seats. The dog has chewed up what was there. The original seats were replaced by some kind of crap bucket seats.
If I start looking in scrapyards, what make of car seats would fit into a T25? Are they easy to fit?

I don't know of any seats that are a straight fit in, so size wise keep to similar dimensions, and preferably something that has a similar runner spacing to ours so you can weld the new bases to the set of runners you have on your existing seats - that way it can also be returned to standard T25 seats if required.
I've found GM Recaros to be pretty compatible, and it used to be possible to get a proper TUV T3/Recaro adapter in Germany for the later seats which have the flat bottoms and are designed to be able to be fitted to different vehicles.
Rover seats are recommended by some, as are SAAB, and there's a good guide to fitting the latter on AndySyncro's website.
Note height of squab is important - tall bases bring you close to the roof and above the clear line of sight to the warning lights, lower squabs give you a more panoramic view, but may not suit tall drivers.
