I noticed that it says on top of first Pic, Diesel syncro.
Question. Is it the same setup on Petrol.

There are some differences between years and models on the actual way that the support plate itself is mounted in the cab - as well as the detent gate and stops on the bottom of the lever and the way they work in the box underneath. But apart from affecting how you remove thejoint and lever, I don't think they affect the fitting of the kit itself much.

Would appreciate other input here, as I only know about what I've seen, but think that the VW Repair Kit is common to all models, acting as an update where earlier designs differ.
