Std glass for vented glass ?

Post by HERSHAMBOY »

My westfalia rear right hand side window has a chrome strip in the rubber and an airvent as part of the window, I've just been told that this type of window is prone to leaks.
The recomendation is to replace the window with a non-vented one and use a rubber without the chrome strip.
Does anyone know if the glass from any van will be the same size for fitting to my westy ?

cheers

you need the glass from a non vented caravelle or combi, or buy it from vw, plain caravelle seal no problem.

Cheers Aidan, but do you think it's true that the vented glass is prone to leaks, once I've fixed the rust I'll have window profesionally fitted, just not sure wheather to replace it for standard glass or not.
