My engine swap was nearly complete when in the space of 20 mins i managed to strip the threads of my sump plug and discovered a leak from the passenger side rubber head gasket.
Does anyone know the pitch of the threads on a sump plug so i can get a helicoil? Also if i replace the rubber head gasket do i need to do the other compression metal gaskets at the top of the piston barrels?
Cheers
Dave
And it all seemed to be going so well....

Cant remember what the thread is.. could be M14x1.. or 1.5......
How much is the rubber leaking? an occasional drip isnt a big issue, but running out when cold is!!! allways a major problem with a SH engine!!! you never know until its in!!!
You cannot just do the rubber gskt, the barrels will prob be stuck in the heads too.. so a pain to do.. Oh, and thats ok if a head stud doesnt snap when undoing/tightening... if its an occasinal drip.. better to leave it and keep an eye on it..
