towing capacity

Hi all just joined up so here goes! Could someone tell me the towing capacity of my van, its a 1990, petrol, 1915 cc.

75% of its own max wieght, which is on the plate just in side the drivers door iirc....

Ive looked at the plate but it has 4 different weights?

The rule for safe towing is that the trailer weight should'nt exceed 75% of the vehicle weight----the weight of your van will vary according to fittings etc so easy way is to drive onto a weighbridge to find the actual weight--

the 4 weights will be..
1. front axle gross weight
2. rear axle gross weight
3. Vehicle gross weight
4. gross train weight (vehicle +trailer)

and prob reads something like this
1. 1300
2. 1400
3. 2300
4. 3800

that would give a max braked trailer weight of 1500
