Broken Fuel Gauge

Post by Ian_Fearn »

Any ideas where i should start looking for the fault?

Is any part of this notorious for failure?

Mine failed recently, and it was the actual gauge.

The sender unit is a common culprit but clean up the contacts first and check the earth and wiring for obvious breaks...before condemming it

continuity check and all contacts check and clean, rare for failure generally, but does occassionally happen. If syncro then dirt and corrosion much more likely.
