Chuckle Brothers Tappets

Post by CovKid »

ChickenKoop and I were adjusting the tappets on his Aircooled T25 and we have to admit its a two person job to say the least. Getting both rockers on any given cylinder open at the same time requires one underneath watching them move and another up above turning the pulley wheel:

"To me, to you, to me, to you" - just like the Chuckle Brothers. Anyone found an easier way???

Also, and I mentioned it elsewhere on the forum, many T25's now have play in the carb throttle flaps causing an ingress of air and very erratic idling. ChickenKoop's is no exception. You can get hold of the nut on either of his flaps pivot points and move it up and down! Case of pulling them off and finding a local lad to rebush 'em but if you do have erratic idling - check them out :D
