depends what it has come off 1.6td passat upto 89 square body I believe was the same as the t25 mounted gearbox end and under the exhaust manfold after that they went to the middle and top of the exhaust manifold as are the golf vento 's etc not sure about the earlier versions of these as unlike the earlier passats their engines were all transverse not for and aft. the turbo's are essentialy the same though just need the ports reorientating by slakening the bolts and rotating the 2 halves, you will have to also have to make /reposition the pipe to the actuator, make sure your oil feed and return are as vertical as possible when mounted to allow the oil to flow thru freely. hope this all make sense.
either the oil feed or return it must have some sort of flange bolted on to hold the pipe if you know what vehicle it came off might be able to identify it on etka
