LLL parts site is great resource as they seem to use use cloned(?) OEM parts catalogues, I have bought some Sprinter parts through them, all genuine parts and their prices are/were good.

All original VW parts of the era have the number on them, hoses are usually embossed and still readable after 40 years after a gentle clean, later ones are printed and the markings less durable.
