T25 1983 1.6 td

Hi
Just purchased a 1983 joker .

After trying to get any light working on the dash , I noticed no servo . I'm guessing this is standard for an early t25 1600 td ?

You probably need to clarify your question. As far as I am aware, it was only the very early 1.6L air-cooled petrol vans (pre 1982?) that didn't have brake servos from the factory. The 1.6TD JX diesel engine was only available on water-cooled vans from 1984, and always with servo brakes.

There’s a dimmer switch for the dash illumination, it’s the wheel on the light switch, the van will have a servo , it’s tucked behind the dash pod

Vacuum brake servo came in in middle of November 1982, from chassis D004279, but some vehicles, for some markets, that had the hydraulic clutch upgrade still had no servo upto the end of July 1983, this may include some of the last of the early 1.6 diesels that had the 091 gearbox, rather than the later 091/1 4 speed box, which were built upto end of December 1982, with Westies most likely to have been basically built in 1982 but not completed and sold till well into 1983

Thanks for the replies.
There is no lights working at all , from battery light to oil light , glow plug light dash lights . The van I recently bought on a whim . So it has factory power steering . No servo , its been upgraded with the 1.9 td aaz . Unfortunately it's been sat so long the turbo has siezed . So now on the look out for a turbo .

Is the dash ribbon connector connected to the dash?
