Sunroof felt trim adhesive?

Heya folks - I’ve recently un-taped the factory sunroof on my van which has been sealed up since before I bought it. Blow me the mechanism works well but I need to replace the felt seal and unblock the drainage routes in the b pillars.

I’ve got a new felt seal from Brickwerks but wondering what the best approach is to sticking it in place…. I’ve got a tube of 3m ‘super weatherstrip and trim adhesive’ that is my first guess as the stuff for the job. I’m open to the wisdom of those that have gone before me though.

Also any tips on process will be appreciated - I can see it being very easy to end up with a wonky mess if care and attention are not applied liberally… and the seals are not particularly cheap so the old adage of doing it once and doing it right is all the more true…
