1.9DG temperature Sender and Sensor

Post by keynsham1 »

I have a bog standard 1987 1.9DG and I want to replace the temperature gauge sender. In the thermostat housing there are two units, one pointing to the left and is blue, and one facing forwards which I cannot currently get to.

Can anyone tell me what new parts I need to order for both of them? I assumue the one pointing left, which is blue, is for the manifold heater. I cannot see what colour the rear one is.

Blue 251 919 369 manifold heater
Black 251 919 501 temp gauge

there is online parts catalogue 7Zap

And Brickwerks site is pretty well laid out though without parts diagrams but JK and Heritage have diagrams

not stock 87, it's either a 88 model year built after 1 Aug 1987 or it has a later engine in it which is quite common
