Door locks

Hi,

A bit of a weird one, so i bought new front door handles and the key i was using for the original door handles would'nt work after changing the tumblers around but could get the ignition key to work so now my front door locks now work on my ignition key, so, i thought i would now try and get my sliding door working with my ignition key too so i didnt need to use a different key than the front doors and with the hope of the back door working too as some point, i have managed to get the sliding door lock to work with the ignition key but it only works with the key one way up not anyway, cant work out why, any ideas?

So the sliding door handle is early van replacement which i got working a good few years ago now and was hoping to get the ignition key to work like i have acheived with rthe eplacement front door handles

On my van I have the following:

1 key x 2 front doors
1 key x ignition
1 key x sliding side door
1 key x rear door

Oh forgot to mention the ignition also fits the fuel cap, and I have one extra key that doesn’t fit anything

Mine is almost as bad. 

1 key does the ignition.
1 key does the sliding door and tailgate.
1 key does fuel cap and passenger door - it used to do the driver door too, but after a resto, I think the handles got mixed up with someone else’s, and now no key does driver door 

I will get around to doing something about t one day, but not today

New non genuine locks have I believe the Golf pattern H barrel, ours are pattern N, different slots/grooves so it is not possible to make new locks work with original ignition key

There is a guy on FB that refurbishes the locks/barrels . I have not used him yet but I have chatted to him. Seems a decent fella .
