Hot air ducting for air intake
A quick question. My 1.9 DG has two hot airs take offs from the cylinder 1 exhaust manifold. These were connected to an air intake module beneath the pillar on the offside, just in front of the rear light cluster, by two 50mm semi-flexible aluminium tubes. These are now corroded, split and don’t connect to the exhaust manifold. I’m looking to replace these but can’t find any parts listed for the T25 1.9DG WBX engine on any of the usual parts suppliers. I can find a listing for semi-flexible 50mm stainless air ducting for water cooled engines suitable for a type 2. I’m assuming these will do the job nicely but want to check at nearly £50 per metre length. I’ll need two of these.

They serve no functional purpose other than to avoid carb icing in very severe cold weather, the likes of which we don't see in the UK (and if we did, it'd be unlikely that you'd choose to drive a 40 year old van on the salted roads anyway!)
There's no need to use stainless - Black Aluminium foil 50mm ducting is fine and you'll get a couple of meters for about £10.

Thanks cobblers. I’ve ordered some 50mm expandable aluminium tubing as you’ve suggested. I assumed they didn’t do much in our climate as I’ve had no issues at all with cold running throughout winter.
Silverbullet, are you sure? https://www.vanagon.org/cylinder-identification/ Suggests otherwise.
