That kind of issue usually has its root in an earthing problem. If you look behind the fuse box on the left side of your vehicle you should see a couple of earth crowns fixed to A-pillar below the dash. You can get better access to these by detaching the fuse box from the body and pushing it to one side - you shouldn't need to disconnect any wires from the fuse box to do this. Once you've got access carefully disconnect all the various cables from the earth crowns - make sure you keep track of all of them as they have a tendency to flop out of sight if you're not careful. Clean the tabs on the earth crowns with a bit of fine sandpaper and reconnect the various cables you detached previously. Hopefully you should find that this resolves your issue.

For a couple of quid I’d start by simply changing the relay.

But a ball ache and probably not the fault.
The flashe relay is by far the most likely culprit. The relay clicks on and off to make the indicators flash. If it fails, the bulbs will just stay lit.

I once had hazard intermittent behaviour right before an MOT, it was due to lack of use of the switch iirc. Gave it some exercise and it settled down.

Thanks for all the hints , Rob the relay link is helpful and for such a small price will try replacing it in the hope that sorts it, cant figure out where its located though - looked all over front areas , around fuses etc , had steering column cover off , not to be seen? Do you know where it is please?

Is there anywhere else it could be as space seem limited ,the fuse box /panel is right up against the bulkhead, will unscrew it and look but its seems to small a space, in a bit of a dilemma as cant use the vehicle until i sort it.

Early or late fuse board? Hazerd doesn't have its own dedicated relay, it uses the indicator relay.
