Wing mirror upgrades?

Post by Lillythefrenchie2026 »

Hey

So when I recently got my van I was driving back and noticed the wing mirrors looked tired but also that the glass seemed to be slightly magnified, the wife was following me back on the motorway and I thought sh#t she’s really close but looking in the rear view she was well back from me.

I purchased a brand new set thinking these would be different, but upon fitting them they were identical and on my first drive they actually started to move and drop at around 50mph 🫣.

Been looking at upgrades and came across this Land Rover set from Slaughter House Customs. Anyone fitted these or have a different set? They also do a truck set but personally seem overkill, I just want standard nine magnifies glass which is less dangerous.

We fitted LR mirrors, they are a very good upgrade.

Found our mirrors on FB Marketplace. Land Rover 90/110 - Bearmach brand are the best, part number BR1918R

Then we bought the adapters on eBay from a user named uberfukz. He has none listed at the moment but I think he will make them to order if you message him. Or they wouldn't be hard to make yourself if you know someone with basic metalwork skills..

We bought a small piece of Silicon sheet to cut to size and place between the adapter and van body.

Finally we bought some security bolts from Volksbolts to keep them on the van 😂

Have you tried tightening the nut under the bracket on your mirrors?

Ours are slightly convex which eliminates the blind spot.

The LR mirrors are a very good upgrade you can see a lot more than the standard factory t25 mirrors they can fold against the van easily and adjustment is better. I did the same as Alfredo and bought the brackets from ebay.
