Starter bolts for a 1.9D

Post by shampooefficient »

Currently persuading new lump into old engine bay.

Got the engine hung and gearbox bolted on. Trying to fit the refurbed starter from the original engine.

ISTR the starter bits on the old 1.6D engine were mismatched and one was an Allen head. The one I have sitting here doesn't wind into the new block.

New engine is a 1.9D lump, AAZ code with a 1.6 head on (or so I'm told)... What bolts should it have holding it in?

brickie does a set of bolts for the diesel bellhousing to engine which includes the starter, I think it might be the M12x120mm ones for the starter, easy enough to work out the length
set of gearbox to engine bolts

Grand, thank you! I never thought to search for bellhousing bolts even though they very definitely go through the bellhousing!
