Rear alignment adjustment.

Post by KOTSY »

Hi everyone . I have a bit of wear on the inside edge of my rear tyre. I am taking it for tracking soon. I hear that if the adjustment slots on the swinging arm are at the end of travel you can open the slot slightly.has anyone done this and any advise please. Thanks Pete.

I would think that if you need to do that then something is not right somewhere else.

Wear on the inside edge of the rear tyre, suggests to me that the outer mount for the swing arm (i.e. the jacking point) is currently making its way up into the bodywork above it. This will most likely be caused by extensive rot above the jacking point.

Ask me how I know...
