Howdo,
My 1980 Westy has a Black Dashboard. I would much prefer the Brown example but good used ones are rather steep in price.
Has anyone painted their dashboard? Or even laminated perhaps?
TIA

Re: Painting the Dashboard
I stripped mine out and resprayed it satin black, I found it relatively easy to remove and strip.
I was going to post up some pics of the work but it seems I didn't take a single one worth looking at despite having the dash out twice.

Re: Painting the Dashboard
I've recently rolled mine in black hammerite ultima. Was a quick job, and had the stuff already around. Also filled up some screw holes from previous owners with some kind of bog beforehand. Really liking the result so far, fresh and shiny again.

The plastics suddenly look "pooh" though :/

A gentle heatgun over the plastics can bring them back to life.
