Heater controls?

Hi all.

Just getting my van on the road, its a 1990 Auothomes Kamper 1.9dg.

I have a questions re what spec I have for the camping side of the equipment, hoping someone can help.

I have a button top left, black round circle, that glows red when pressed and appears to try to activate the small red heater under the cooker, is that an electric heater?  because it runs for a few seconds and appears to stop, is that an electric ignition?  No gas means its not firing up?  Or is it a broken electric heater

If so I don't appear to have a thermostat...

Also, to the right of the three pin plug socket there are two small white cubes, what are they pls?

If it's the same as my auto homes you should have a gass propex heater in the bottom of the cupboard behind the drivers seat. I can't see your thermostat on your photo though. The two little white squares are the old school 12v power points.

Yes that sounds about right, small heated in the cupboard behind the drivers seat but I have now thermostat at all.

Hmmm, why would someone remove it...
