Water Pump replacement 1.6 TD

Post by Bison535 »

Engine gets hot and pipe to expansion tank also BUT pipes to front radiator remain cold as does the radiator!
Without further checking I suspect the Water pump impeller is broken and not circulating coolant.
Water pump replacement necessary! Best place to purchase new pump and advice regarding easiest method of replacement, other items needed I.e gaskets? Thermostat etc
Any guidance on above appreciated

I git one from just kampers about 12 months ago, not the best fir tbh I had to drill out the fixing holes to take original bolts . It was a pig to fit on and off a good few times to get in correct position . I would get one from Brickwerks this time .

Also check the hose from the waterpump to the flange on the engine while you're there. It can get damaged over time if it touches the hot block. It's a good moment anyway to change any old hoses.
