I have a T25 1.9DG which I have had for ten years. During that time I have had 3 starter motors. They usually seem to last about two years and then just start misbehaving. My current one has just started doing exactly that.
Does anyone know where I can buy a good quality starter motor which doesn't come from China? There must be something better available on the market than the rubbish I have been using?

Re: Starter Motor Recommendations
I suggest a high-torque starter motor, which is more expensive but, in my opinion, well worth it.

Re: Starter Motor Recommendations
That one looks like a much better unit
Re: Starter Motor Recommendations
The high torque one looks good. The other suppliers just supply the Chinese ones which are usually very short lived!!
Re: Starter Motor Recommendations
I swapped out 4 or 5 standard ones over the years. I purchased one of the high-torque ones about 5 or 6 years ago, and it's been just fine. Well worth the money IMO.

It came with a new bush too, Seems to work well but I can't speak for its longevity yet.
