Can anyone recommend a bodywork and paint specialist for our van?

Thin bits of metal and bright blue light. Including glass & trim.

Can anyone recommend a bodywork and paint specialist for our van?

Post by mfunsta »

Happy New Year.

Been a long time since I last posted, so apologies for that, but back now and looking to reach out to the community.

Been using our campervan (1989 early Bilbo panel van conversion) for a while now, since the last tranche of bodywork was carried out several years ago, but have been looking for the last year (unsuccessfully with a couple of last minute let downs) to get some signs of rust sorted before they become more significant.

We were wondering if any of you have recommendations for any folks that can be trusted to carry out the work (bodywork and paint) from either personal experience or word of mouth.

We live in Stoke-on-Trent, but would be more than happy to travel, and pay for quality work at the right place.

It looks like the following need attention:
  1. Roof gutters (rust showing through in places i.e. near poptop hinges and clips),
  2. Front scuttle (usual)
  3. Seams could do with clearing out and sorting.
  4. Lower rear corners (new panels most likely).
  5. Tidy up of lower 6" or so.
  6. Fitting two new sliding windows to sliding door and opposite (plus new seals to all side windows).
  7. Welding up of fridge vent holes (as moving to condenser).
  8. Repaint of lower half.
Prob a few more bits and pieces, but you get the picture.

Obviously have pictures to share and look forward to hearing your recommendations.

cheers
