OBD 2 port

Post by Reece16 »

Can anyone tell me if a 1989 T3/25 van would have a data port? Need to connect a solar trickle feed to my main battery over the winter months.

No, they don't. I'm puzzled. How come you don't know if your van has a OBD 2 port? :?

OBD2 did not really come into existence for most marques until 1995, so long after European T3 production ceased.
Neither DigiJet nor Digifant came with onboard diagnostics.
The give away is no MIL or Engine Management light on the dash.

Some vehicles (Not T3's) were fitted with later Jetronic control systems. The very late K Jetronic system and later Motronic systems included early ALDL / OBD1 connections and a light on the dash
1983 Tin Top with a poorly DF and 4 speed DT box.
1987 Electrics and a DJ engine.
Maybe one day I might get it finished
