Identify this wire

Post by prossett »

Found in the dashboard of a 1985 Reimo camper, 1.9L petrol water-cooled. The round ground was behind where the stereo would go, not attached to anything, and the sensor probe end was down behind the glovebox shelf, also not connected to anything.

Your 'sensor' wire is the aerial lead for the stereo

No idea about the ground, new to all this myself, but grounds are usally better bolted to something   :D

That's all wiring for the aerial. The rusty ring is the mounting base thing, and the other bit slots into the back of the stereo. You might as well just fish it out of the dash and sling it - the base is proprietary to whatever 30 year old aerial it came off of, it's of no use to anyone.
