What's this wire

Post by Buster Bungo »

I was ripping out some redundant wiring at the weekend, resolving years of add-ons that no longer work and found this wire just behind the fuse/relay panel, not connected to anything, never got a chance to check if it was live or not.
Does anyone have any idea what it is normally used for?

Thanks all.

In the late years VW started to use common wiring harnesses on vans with different trim/accessory levels.

Grey/yellow if connected to B connector pos 20 then it is relayed power feed to the fog light switch
