Did a quick test this morning. Van starts and all LED's are working apart from the Oil Pressure light. Oil pressure light does not even flicker on and off when ignition is on. Will need to check my wiring.

I'm not getting any voltage from the alternator either, so need to check my wires on that one as well.

Temp guage seems to be working fine, not sure about the fuel guage though as I was almost out of fuel anyway 😂

Gauge bulbs are working with the dimmer switch.

Next step is to check my wiring and permanently mount the voltage regulator. There's not a lot of space behind the dash for it sticking out. It could come loose too.

Not a bad first test though.

Hot melt glue on the socket will hold it in place

I ran another test this evening. I checked all my wiring and reattached resistor R3 and ran it without the DOPS cables, incase that was the issue. Wiring looks spot on, but I still have no oil light on the dash?

I've reached out to the people who designed it for me to see if they know what's going on.

The good news is that I can confirm that the fuel guage does work with the replacement PCB.

So other than the oil pressure light, things are looking promising.

Did they provide the circuit schematic, or the pcb design file ( not the gerber files ).

Yes, I think I have the schematic. Where should the oil pressure light connect up to?

Will need to look at my schematic. have you checked high and low are the right way round.

should be pin 13 on the edge connector, will go to a 470ohm resistor, cathode of led and the annode is +12v ignition.

Apologies for not posting anything for a bit. Work and life have got in the way.

I have done a couple of tests with the PCB though. Good news is that I have driven the van with the new PCB and all seems well. Bad news is that I still can't get the DOPS warning light to work or test flash on start up.

I have reached out to the people who designed it for me who said they will go over the schematic, but that was mid last week, and I'm not paying them now, so I expect a slow response.

Something I could use some help with though is whether or not I have the DOPS connections the right way round? I think I have, but if someone else knows for sure, it could definitely help rule this out.

I'll post a picture below of what I believe the connections are.

Cheers

Tested the LED with a multimeter and it is working fine.

Just checking my notes for the DOPs.

1 = 0.3 bar (sender above the left pushrods)
2 = 0.9 bar (sender behing water pump pulley)

3 = Ignition live 12 volts
4 = warning LED
5 = ground
6 = rpm signal

Details c/o documentation supplied by Angelo EVS.

Perfect, cheers Robsey. That matches what I have. It looks like my wiring is good, so it could mean it's something on the board?

I may disconnect one of the pressure switches to see if it sets off the DOPS alarm next?

Same ordr I have, although I may have to check my spacing. I am plannign to do away with the old DOPS and re-engineer it, but I have the connector board anyway if I were to use the old style.

it could be the DOPS board itself is faulty couldn't it ? That's the bit that does the self test - you haven't incorporated the DOPS board function into your new replacement board have you

I have the ribbon PCB installed again at the moment and the self test is working fine, so I think that rules out the DOPS board. The new PCB does have an option to run the oil warning light without the DOPS board, I believe it runs off one of the oil pressure switches instead (as some older van models did). It would be worth testing this function, but I would still like to get the DOPS board and the self test option working.
