Rear vent plastic cover install

Post by SalgariS »

Hey, folks.
Got myself some plastic covers for the rear vents but I can't figure out how to fit them...
The original metal vent seems to be in the way.
Does anyone know if it's plug and play, or do I need to cut metal out?

If you have metal vents, then you do not need plastic vents.

I presume you have an air-cooled van, or very early diesel...
By the time water-boxers were introduced in very late 1982, the vents were updated to plastic parts.
1983 Tin Top with a poorly DF and 4 speed DT box.
1987 Electrics and a DJ engine.
Maybe one day I might get it finished

Early vents look nicer too in my opinion.
