What is this part called? Below slave cylinder..

Post by radiostar »

Please can you help me find this part?

It is holding the bottom of the slave cylinder and last week it cracked and I need to replace it..
Only problem is I cannot find what part it is.

It’s the part with the jubilee clip around it (we tried to rescue the problem when it cracked)

Please see pics

That's the clutch lever. Petrol/diesel ones are different. You'll have to try and find a good 2nd hand one

It’s a pushrod

Has a plastic , looks like the end of yours has broken , try brickwerks, you will probably have to buy a slave

Same happened to the plastic cup on mine. Replaced the slave and the the pipe it connects to as it had seized on . And the the copper pipe that connects to as well. A half hour job turned into a half day job!

Cheers guys, a few different answers there so am still unsure..
if it’s just the rubber, does it need replacing? Is this part of the slave or is it part of the supper bracket?
What is the name of the support bracket?

Thanks guys for your help with this as it’s hard finding a mechanic who want to help :)

I'm doing mine at the moment and spent ages looking for this part until I worked out that it comes as part of the slave cylinder.

You need to buy a new clutch slave cylinder. If you don’t need to replace the whole thing just use the pushrod and rubber bellows from the new one.
Changing the whole unit isn’t a bad job just make sure you give all the connections a clean up / wire brush and spray either plusgas or similar for a few days before trying to undo everything.
