Garages in London for a 1987 T25 WBX, Fuel injected, automatic.

Post by onscrean »

Hello all!

I’m based in east London (Mile End and looking for a mechanic who knows VW T25’s as we’ve not had the best luck so far. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. We have some nocking noise that sounds like it’s coming from the rockers/cylinders on the passengers side (LHD) and we are already booked to attend the T3 meet 1 Aug and we’re really looking forward to it. Thanks in advance!
Sandra

Jack's Garage is very well respected but usually booked a month+ ahead because of that - they might be able to signpost you somewhere less solidly booked up

I don’t know anywhere in East London to recommend - we normally take ours over to Jack’s Garage in Ladbroke Grove, but as Aidan said they’re usually booked up well in advance.

Out East in Essex there's EliteVW, little Mick is a whizz, afaik he's still working but he's older than me, and big Mick's son does engine rebuilds: I haven't seen them in years or spoke to Mick, so I don't know their current set up

Are you able to upload an audio so we can listen on here? Could simply be loose exhaust stud.
How long have you owned vehicle?

Eagle Autos in Swanley (15 miles south of Blackwall tunnel) if you are willing to drive there?

Otherwise take a slow drive to Bus meet and ask a few attendees for their opinion
