for me its somewhat theraputic, upuntil the moment ones purchased the pcb and five minutes later your in a panic revising an error and getting it uploadad befor its commited to production   nothing worse though than getting a delivery , building and then going What the blithering heck....

Last performance at the theatre this afternoon and then free for a week ( well evenings are free ) till other things kick in , so do that final work.  on the main pcb.  I hopefully have some dimensions on route for the rev-counter binacle so that will complete the set.

This is my PIC-based stepper motor cluster made years ago that I never installed. Each motor is microstepped by a dedicated microcontroller. The artwork is engraved on the back of a non-reflective acrylic glass sheet and filled with paint. Regardless of tunnels and built-up areas, I would in no way trust GPS when approaching a speed camera:

I already have my digidash plans and this workstream has hopefully resolved some questions so it will be worthwhile for my own plans.

its now easier to design what i need than adapt something else ( usualy ) but incorporating available submodulse massivly reduces effort.

Nice work TT, I have the CJH kit and he incorporated a flashing ‘alarm’ LED for me when the ignition is turned off:

Yeah an alarm LED is on the cards, simple enough. And a lights on reminder.

I am doing a bit of the design over the weekend but I am also waiting on some DC-DC buck converters to replace the Voltage regulator and need them to do a footprint for the PCB.  Also crafting a DOPS replacement daughter board, it will be further down the road but I need to lay out a basic pcb to get the fitment right with the main board.

I am doing the stage lights next weekend at Coast Roads Festival. Hopefully after that I will have a couple of clear weeks of evenings to finalise the main PCB.
