18.T was available in various tunes from 150PS upwards, even the new Beetle had it iirc
Audi A4 (B5) was another one but they are getting rare now, fitted inline though which could cause problems.
Usually safest to find a transverse one as thats a perfect match for the original JX which came from a Golf
