Yes and No. There a trader in Essex (on eBay) who seems to have loads of auto T25's. I tried contacting them numerous times without success.

.... Also, prospective gearbox has an NJ code. Will that work for our 1986 automatic 2.1? Seller says there's a leak in the bottom pan but the torque convertor is dry. Is that an easy fix once it's installed or something I should worry about? The mechanic will only swap our gearbox for the replacement then it's a 'hands off' approach as they haven't (and can't) source the part, we have. It's £900 plus VAT for this work. Thanks

There is nothing in those photos which denotes any confidence of a good running, well loved, frequently serviced transmission. The poor quality photos are not helping either.
From what l can see the oil looks badly discoloured. Not a good sign.
The transaxle is caked in dirt and oil. This could be caused by a seal failure or breather plugs being blocked. Not good either.
Finally the seller notes no fluid in torque converter. So how did he drive it? The only way that is going to happen is if it has rusted through and dumped the contents. Even when changing oil the TC retains about one litre and a bit more. 3 litres for oil change. 6 litres for rebuild.

Personally, I would walk away from that.

Yep. Give it a miss.

By comparison above is the ATF from my camper's transmission. Note colour and level is between the two dots. Nothing like the photos you posted. And my tranny has not had a change of fluid in three years and 4k.
These auto transmissions are very reliable providing oils and seals are regularly replaced. And that one is not well maintained.
This leads me back to a question l have asked you twice. Post photos of the crack in the housing of your original differential. It may be reparable and give clues to the issue you have.
Or go manual gearbox is my final opinion.

Here are the photos of our van. Don't have a clue what I'm looking at, as you all know by now. Gutted... Thought we had this sorted. Thanks for your honesty though and saving us a headache.

When the seller said the torque convertor is dry, I thought he meant no oil leak in it, just in the pan??

Good point. My mistake. The torque convertor is dry... as in not leaking.
More shortly...

Those pictures of your current transmission certain help. It looks absolute normal. Most auto transmissions weep a bit of oil around the pan. The CV joints look pretty good too.

The usual diff cracks on the lower mounts as l mentioned a few pages back. Often caused during engine removal. But l believe fixable by a competent engineer using a bit of metal stitching. My camper had the same cracks for eight years without issue.

Repairs?

Now to the internals. Please post a photo of your camper's transmission oil. Pull out the yellow capped level stick on left hand side of engine and photograph the end. Colour and condition is important. Or do l have to drive my camper to Liverpool and take a look for myself? :rofl

That's made me feel a little better... So do you know any competent mechanics as we can't find anyone who wants to touch it!? The van is currently in NW Transmissions waiting for us to send the replacement gear box so they can fit it but we're back to square 1 on that score now. I could ask if they can get a photo of the transmission oil but I'm not sure if they'll do that. At a bit of a loss as to next steps now (again!)
Anyone who can fix it is more than welcome to drive up to Liverpool! 😂 I make a good cup of tea!
