Alignment Results (Couldn't get the Caster right)

Post by The Hairy Camper »

Had an alignment done today as I changed a lot of bushes and ball joints recently.

Mechanic said he couldn't get the Caster right on the front wheels. Something about a bolt not having enough thread (does he means the radius rod?).

He took the van for a test drive and said it drives great and he's happy with it. What do we think? I printed out the Haynes manual on wheel alignment for them and I can see that he did use it 😂

The radius rods do appear to be at their max. Has the mechanic missed something here? Can some radius rods be shorter?

I wouldn't try to do any change.
You might feel the steering wheel fighting a bit more to straighten after a turn.

Honestly, the van drives and feels great.

I message brickwerks to see if any aftermarket radius rods are a bit longer, but they said they are all the same length as the originals. Their opinion was that the van will be fine in the current spec though.
