Sounds like you’ve gone from high revs, to low now?

I remember you saying you used idle screw to lower them when it was idling high.
Did you put that back to original setting?

Is it consistently low recs now, or intermittent?

The revs seem to have settled to a steady if not higher than idle speed, I have to keep them high, as last time when I thought it had all settled i took it fir a drive and after a short time of driving it appeared ok then later during the drive It kept stalling when coming to a stop at junctions etc. The carb choke flap seems to work ok, as it does move at the required times, ie opening when engine warmed up. And partially closed 70/80% closed at cold start procedure.
