1.9 TD AAZ LHD Carthago washer bottle motor

Hi my washer bottle motor has failed I've checked it on a spare battery and nothing. It was bought about a year ago from brickworks, the van was sorned over winter so has had little use .
Do you think it's bad luck or an electrical fault ???
Everything else seems to be working fine on the electrics
Ps wipers still working ok

original pump was very well made and quite expensive, but has been obsolete for a fair few years; the aftermarket ones are cheap; I don't think there is a high quality alternative now
You might find a good used original one if you are lucky
