none of them come up right, all have a primary of more than 1ohm
the worst secondary is a brand new one, the last ones Brickwerks sold

Thanks for checking these, I think it was the secondary that was coming up wrong. I’m starting to wonder if it is even the ignition coil? I’ve sprayed quick start in to the carb and it does catch a bit for a second, there’s spark at all the plugs and fuel pump working too.yea sorry NGK, BP6ET triple type. I’ve only just put these in as I had one dead spark plug which was the Bosch type thinking it could be that. Van was running then died and won’t start again.

putting a fresh battery in my multi-meter resulted in better test results, the one in it was 7 years old - so I'll buy a new quality alkaline for it, I only had a rechargeable Li-ion one to hand to see if it made a difference, but even fully charged it's a bit rubbish, but better than a 7 year old alkaline one

Have you tried a new TCi ?

Ah ok so were the results more in-line with the spec?
I think I’ve tested the tci using the paperwork above and it seems to be ok? Although couldn’t do the last 2 checks on the pages. Trying to do this ourselves but electrical fault finding isn’t our forte!
