Re: Diesel Heaters
No Steve. It was my idea. I don't think Matt ever had a night heater. My D1lC was fitted there before the Webasto. Luckily they both share the same footprint.

Re: Diesel Heaters
Thanks for the advice on here. On reflection i think i'm going to go for the autotherm and try and put it under the passenger seat (in a box under the van outside). Hopefully there'll be room.

Re: Diesel Heaters
Lavaner make good heaters. They're chinese, but they are absolutely worlds above the usual £80 tat.
A 2Kw "Pro" is about £180 posted.
Properly waterproof too, so OK to fit outside the van. I have one under the drivers step on my T6 4-motion and it has been totally submerged in water while I've been green laning quite a number of times. Only ever had an issue when it was running at the time so it sucked up water and hydrolocked. I stripped it to dry it out, but in hindsight just blowing an airline down the intake would have sufficed.

Here's the result of running a heater with water in the diesel!

Re: Diesel Heaters
Any pics of the fuel tank in spare wheel please Rob?
1982 Diesel hightop. 1Y engine. Still work in progress but running and taking us on holidays.
Re: Diesel Heaters
No pictures and no van at the moment. Its just an ordinary fuel can with a hole drilled in the screw on lid for the feed tube. And it sits inside the spare wheel.
