Rocker cover Gasket , Rubber or cork

Post by dcworm57 »

1.6 TD JX .
So got oil leaks form the rocker cover gasket , I fitted cork one around 2 years ago but it’s still leaking . Is it worth trying the rubber one from Brickwerks , anyone used this one with good results . Or should I have another go with a new cork one ?

any suggestions please ?
cheers

I've got the rubber one on mine (aaz) and it leaks in the bottom right corner! I have just received another one and going to try again. However I am not sure whether to use sealant or not. I did use sealant last time but wasn't sure if I'd used enough or if I'd I applied it correctly. Might even be the rocker cover that is deformed.
However mine only seems to leak when I'm parked up outside my house which is on a camber dosent seem to leak when moving or parked flat.
