Autosleeper Sink Tap

Post by maxstu »

It has an external water pump controlled by switch on habitation fuse board and a water tank meter.
I can hear the pump working but nothing arrives at the sink tap.

Two issues.

Which way to turn tap for open?
Why does pressing button to read water level show full? And why illuminate fully charged battery condition light?

I have added about 10 litres of water.

Sorry about poor quality pics. Setting sun is shining through high top window

Whipped out the Shurflo pump today. Noted a small weep mark on the join at the bottom.
Removed six screws and cleaned up everything. Added a tiny bead of sealant then screwed it back together. Then realised the pump has a pressure adjustment screw. Wound it in one turn then tested using a bucket of water for supply. Added 12v and, behold, a very solid flow of water.
Refitted pump with a new filter. Back breaking stuff at 63 years old.
But now have water at tap. The pump is a bit sensitive and gives the odd surge. But l will use the fuse board switch to counter that small issue.

Filled the tank to capacity. But level indicator not working. Any clues where l go next to solve this?
