I couldn't see anything on mine though. Is there anywhere else it can be on a 1Y Diesel? Or do I need to scrub this area and see if it turns up?

I was struggling to find the engine code on my 1Y today.
From what I can tell on the forum, it's meant to be in this location:
I couldn't see anything on mine though. Is there anywhere else it can be on a 1Y Diesel? Or do I need to scrub this area and see if it turns up?

My insurance company (Adrian Flux) insisted I provide mine after I told them it wasn't the original engine. Presumably to ensure it isn't secretly Porsche-powered now?

Hi it’s on there where you put the circle in orange I can see a 30, try a Stanley blade use it like a scraper keep the blade flat on the flat part of the engine block and gently slide it you should then be able to see engine number.
