Front wheel arch replacement

Post by mike the van »

I am just starting tackling the front drivers side wheel arch and seat belt mount and B pillar repair. What is the advice for making sure it all aligns, does the hole need bracing when the arch is cut out? do you keep the door in?  what’s the best way to mark the metal or reference points?

Cheers

Mike

No need to brace , use the door to keep the ahit lines correct , you can remove the door and fit the arch but be sure to align the arch first, mark with a permanent marker or a scribe or even a knick with the angle grinder , which arch have you bought?

Thanks, I got a Brickwerks best quality, will replace seat belt mount panel as well, the door and shut lines are the key to aligning it then?
