Westfalia external side panels

Post by dcworm57 »

Advice please.
so when I bought my westy the external bodykit type side panels were missing, so I have managed to get a 2nd hand set but there are no fixing brackets with them . You can get them from Heritage Vw but £15 each  . It looks like these should be bonded to the side panel and then fixed to the van some how , do you drill the van panels and then put a nut in the inside ? Does anyone know how they should be fixed properly , do I need to strip out the internal panels etc to be able to fix the nuts to hold the brackets onto the van panels ? Are there any other good fixing options ?

cheers Dave

Brickwerks T3 Parts | Body | Bodykit Parts The brackets are riveted to the body. And bolts hold them to these brackets.
