I have just bought a set of Eibach lowering springs from Brickwerks and I notice that the spring wire reduces in diameter at one end of the rear springs but not the other. From what I can see from pictures, the thinner end goes at the bottom but I cannot check on my van as I already have lowering springs which are rubbish and are constant thickness wire all the way!
Any ideas?

Re: Eibach Springs from Brickwerks

How mine are fitted.
Re: Eibach Springs from Brickwerks
So, I decided in the end to put the rear springs in with the writing the right way up for want of a better engineering reason. I have just fitted front and back springs and Bilstein shocks to one side of the van now, the other side will get done tomorrow afternoon. The front shocks have a small removeable shouldered spacer at the top of the rod that slides over the threaded section and sits on the top of the plain section. I am not sure what this is for? It doesn't fit up inside the bump stop cover so I haven't fitted it as it doesn't seem to fit anywheren else. Anyone fitted these shocks and knows what it is?

Re: Eibach Springs from Brickwerks
Scrub my last message! The spacers do fit inside the bump stop covers. They just need a little persuasion to get them in! I have no fitted the Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks f all from Brickwerks, along with a new set of standard rubber steering rack mounting bushes. It is absolutely transformed! Quiet on the road, and no wandering on dual carriageways! Lots of cash and fair bit of work to fit but worth every penny!!
