Gypsy diesel radiator swap

Post by diesel11 »

Evening all, in the process of changing my coolant hoses and radiator on my 1981 Gypsy, my original radiator has two sensors on the top left corner but the replacement rad only has one hole for a sensor, also the top coolant hose was/is metal whereas the new rad is fixed at the top, I was told my my motor factors that there is only one rad listed? Oh and is it normal to have the fan shroud welded to the radiator? I've tried to add a couple of pics, any help or advice greatly appreciated ImageImageImage

Just a quick note, I've just read on brikwerks that my rad was only fitted to early cs diesel engines,so I'm assuming that I have to fit the later type rad?
